ART. 13, LAW 675/96 Art. 13 – Rights of the person interested 1. With reference to personal data treatment, the person interested has the following rights: a) know - by free access the register according to art. 31, clause 1, letter a) – every data treatment concerning the above person; b) be informed about the contents of art. 7, clause 4, letters a), b), h); c) have without delay (provided by the holder or the responsible person): 1) the confirmation of existing data (if present) concerning the person interested, even if they have not been registered yet; the clear communication of these data, their origin, and logicality and purpose of their treatment; the request cannot be repeated before 90 days (except for justified causes); 2) the anonymous cancellation and processing or block of the treated data in case of lawbreaking, including those ones whose keeping for the requested purpose is not necessary; 3) data updating, adjustment, or, when the person is interested, data integration; 4) the statement that the operations 2) and 3) are made known to people whom they are communicate and disclosed to (except the case that this become impossible or causes excessive means in comparison to the right protected); d) oppose, completely or partially, for rightful reasons, to the treatment of his personal data even if they are necessary for the purpose of collection; e) oppose, completely or partially, to the treatment of his personal data which are necessary for commercial reports, sending advertising material, direct sale material, market researches, interactive commercial communication; and the person interested has the right to know by the holder the possibility to stick up freely for his right, not later than the moment on which data are communicated or disclosed. 2. For every request - according to clause 1, letter c), number 1)- a charge can be requested to the person interested, if it does not result the existence of his personal data, but this charge shall not be higher than the real costs, according to terms of art. 33, clause 3. 3. Every right in clause 1 concerning personal data of deceased people can be claimed by everyone who may be interested in. 4. Claiming the rights in clause 1, the person interested can sign a proxy statement to fisical persons or associations. 5. Laws on professional journalists' secret are an exception, but only as regards the kind of news'source.
